Leon Pein

Leon has participated in, and led, human rights' campaigns for half a century. He is passionate about the importance of distinguishing between individual and group mentality, wholeheartedly supporting Roots’ ethos of one-to-one interactions, that permits people from both sides of a divide to create meaningful bonds, away from the public eye, with all the pressures and threats they can engender.

He is a board member of North London Friends of Israel, speaks publicly on Middle East issues and is the Zionism advisor to the Muslim Friends of Israel Facebook group. He looks forward to meeting and making friends with people he couldn't have imagined meeting publicly, before the advent of the Abraham Accords, and to a great future for Roots, the charity.
