Rev. Douglas Skinner
Douglas Skinner is an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Doug earned his Master of Divinity degree from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He received an honorary doctorate from Jarvis Christian College, a historically African American church-related school in Hawkins, Texas. Interfaith relations, especially among the religions of the Abrahamic tradition, have been a special focus of his ministry. Doug served local churches in Texas for 40 years before retiring in 2019. A published author, Doug now spends his days writing. He is currently working on a book about death and dying in the Christian tradition.
